Daniel James
Daniel Ling is a London-based Architect Developer with over 13 years of industry experience spanning architecture, design management, and real estate development. With a sharp eye for design and a strong grasp of financial performance, Daniel brings a rare dual perspective that ensures developments not only look exceptional but also deliver measurable value. He founded urbanflo to pioneer thoughtful, design-led projects that prioritise both quality of life and long-term investment potential.
Daniel began his career as an architect, leading complex public and private sector projects through every RIBA stage. He later expanded his impact working on major regeneration schemes like Barking Riverside and landmark high-rise developments with Brookfield Multiplex and Mace Group. His hands-on experience spans planning policy, compliance, consultant appointments, and value engineering, enabling him to effectively manage and align all stakeholders around a unified vision.
Most recently, Daniel earned a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California, where he honed his investment acumen and strategic thinking. His studies focused on risk-adjusted returns, financial modelling, and highest-and-best-use analysis—skills that underpin urbanflo’s commitment to delivering legacy projects with long-term social and economic value.
urbanflo reflects Daniel’s mission: to create adaptable, environmentally conscious, and community-driven developments that are rooted in exceptional design and robust financial logic. Through every project, he aims to push the boundaries of what urban living can be.
Daniel is a member of the RIBA, ARB and Urban Land Institute.
